If left to my own devices, I would have spent my life trying to crawl under the proverbial rock, and peeing and pooping in inappropriate places, due to self-isolation from past bullying; which is why my name was changed to Baby, because “Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner”!

​

My lack of self-confidence and severe level of fear and anxiety, led to not grooming, which resulted in matted fur; and I would pee in my carrier from feeling overwhelmed.

​

Also, the major change from rehoming and switching Owners, was dramatic and added further stress.

​

But after the needed long period of decompression, I started working on changing my fixed mindset through routine daily touch massages; and while conquering my fears and anxiety, taking advantage of the opportunity to bond with this Human, and learning to trust.

​

Later, through systematic desensitization and with the support of my other rescue and foster friends, we began addressing my behavioral issues, and counterconditioning with further daily stimulus rewards.

​

For some time, I would bleep from dental pain; so having my teeth cleaned every 6 months is crucial to battling my gingivitis.

​

I now look forward to my daily massages and proud to say, every day I continue to build my self confidence; and when it's time for my wellness visits, now I go right into my carrier without incident. The very mild relaxant, along with catnip and bird sounds playing in the background, brings added relaxation, to enjoy the road trips to the vet.

​

Currently, I am searching for someone willing to invest time and effort, in order to help me feel comfortable and secure, in a special home, where I can receive one-on-one attention.

​

I may sometimes greet you with a little hiss when I feel frightened and seek someone who understands that it may take some time for me to trust and show my true endearing personality. 

​

I am a very mellow and calm Dudette, with a lot of love to give. While I may be a bit shy, I can truly thrive in an environment where I can receive patient and loving care, to continue blooming into the affectionate and confident Putty Tat I am destined to be.

​

I enjoy high places and looking out the window, so Catifiying your home is key; and although I am not a lap cat, that doesn't mean I won't enjoy being nearby.

​

Although, I am not a polydactyl, I do have the prettiest mitten paws you've ever seen.

​

One must be mindful of litter box and providing lavender litter; and the upkeep of cleanliness is a must for me. If not, I tend to use the rock I hid under, as my litter box.

​

I need a peaceful, relaxing work environment. No kids or other cats, and someone who doesn’t heavily entertain. 

​

I prefer someone who has patience and can spend time continuing to nourish and enrich my socialization.

​

If you welcome me into your home, I would need time to adjust and would feel more secure in a spacious pen, in order to be slowly introduced into your space.

​

But until I approve of my forever Human, I will continue to thrive in my environment and work every day to prove to everyone that you can change a mindset from fixed to growth.
