My life for the most part has been met with hardship. It began as part of the TNR initiative, but instead of being released, my employment was requested by the Bdg. Sup’t as Rodent Control Specialist.

Unfortunately, I was horribly neglected, malnourished and mistreated; I was fed rotten bologna and bones, and the garbage chute served as my refuge.

Without providing a litter box, issues arose and I quickly became a disposable nuisance when the basement was bombed in order to rid themselves of me.

Thankfully, I was trapped and returned to the original person who initiated TNR; but, with 56 other rescues, I went on strike refusing to eat for over 3 days until this lady came to check on my well being. You can keep her temporarily, they said; HAAAA, the jokes on them!!!

At my wellness visit, I had 18 of my teeth surgically removed and my echocardiogram revealed I have a 4/6 heart murmur. Thankfully, I do not require treatment and still have 12 teeth left; but, I prefer wet food, and get plenty of omegas and seaweed meal, to strengthen my heart and make sure it beats for years to come.

I am shy and scare easily, but have learned to slowly trust humans with some of my foster sibling’s support. I was bullied in the past due to my lack of confidence and had a short period when I stopped grooming, which resulted in matted fur; so it’s important that if I am ever considered for a position, it would need to be with a kitten or a friendly feline friend, that I can cuddle with and serves as my security blankie.

A stress-free and relaxed environment, with low traffic and a patient employer who can support my continuing to thrive, is ideal.

I love being perched up high or on the bed, so if you find me hiding, know something is not right.

When the sun rises with the birds chirping or crickets chirping at night, you’ll find me sitting on my wood stump by the window; a window perch or cat tree by the window is purr-fectly ideal.

Laser toys do nothing for me, but, I love feather wands, stringy objects and felt balls; I become mesmerized watching strands of copper wire, as all of your wonderful products are being made.

I should not be in a home where Tweety resides. In the past, from hunger and instinct, I was known to have learned to open bird cages.

I thoroughly enjoy long cat naps and if I see a box, I am reminded of my younger days and will just scoot right in.

Physical Touch therapy, extending to routine massage sessions, have helped in establishing trust and building my confidence, which has led to now accept petting. It’s important you approach me slowly and with a calm demeanor to help me feel safe; and I love when you rub my face, neck, ears, bum and scratch my head.

You should also know, I am highly intelligent and intuitive to understand everything you say, and will listen intently if you’ve had a rough day.
